The Bang & Olufsen of Bournemouth Team
Dealer Principal Kevin Dawson is no stranger to the showroom, despite his commitments to the other areas of our business. He says:
'I have been surrounded by Bang & Olufsen for 45 years; my Dad started selling the brand back in 1964, the year after I was born! We have always had Bang & Olufsen in our family home for as long as I can remember, and once you have had Bang & Olufsen it is very difficult to change. The superior picture quality of our screens is head and shoulders above anything I have seen, coupled with user-friendly controls and very elegant audio systems.
I started in the business in September 1980, working as the delivery person and installer for about 5 years. I fitted our first BeoLink system in 1982 to a house in Lower Parkstone, the system was then called MCL82 and was driven by the gorgeous BeoSystem 5000, a component system comprising of Record Deck, Tuner Amplifier and a Cassette Deck. Now here we are today, 29 years later and what systems can do today is simply amazing, but the one thing Bang & Olufsen have not changed is quality.'
In the Showroom...
Kevin is joined in the store by Abi Holden-Parker. 'Understanding the true value of Bang & Olufsen has been reinforced by my family since I was young. To me the value of excellent sound reproduction, picture quality and build are presented in the portfolio. Before I came to work for Dawsons I trained as a jeweller, such experience taught me how exceptional design and manufacture is important in a luxury brand such as Bang & Olufsen' Abi enjoys travel, music and outside of works designs and produces her own artwork.
Also in the showroom Jim Elliott has beeen with us for a couple of months now. Jim qualified as a sound engineer before working in sales 'I understand the fundamental importance of giving poeple the best possible listening experience through quality in sound. I believe that nobody produces better quality audio and visual products than Bang & Olufsen. They continually push the boundaries with their engineering and design and I am very happy to represent them at Bang & Olufsen of Bournemouth' In his spare time Jim's interests include music, surfing, football and golf.
Installations...
Andrew Baldwin manages our Bang & Olufsen Installation Service, and has nearly 8 years experience with the brand. He is a fully certified BeoLiving installer and will ensure a show-home finish with every job he carries out. We have nothing but excellent reports from our clients about Andy's professional manner and his installations surpass the highest of standards.
In his spare time Andrew is a keen snowboarder and can be seen competing in the local Darts League.
Service & Repairs...
All our service and repair work is carried out by David Clarke who deals solely in Bang & Olufsen equipment. David has over 12 years experience with the brand and has been running his own repair service since 2003.
