About us

Bang & Olufsen of Merchant City is owned by Dealer Principal Bob Weir who has been working with the brand for nearly twenty years. Bob originally opened the dealership in Bearsden, but has now centralised the business to the city to offer more space and allow demonstration of the only BeoLiving room in Scotland.

Bob Weir, the store owner, has been working with Bang & Olufsen products since he opened his original television repair business in 1985. Realising that Bang & Olufsen televisions had the highest build quality and with the fewest problems, Bob saw the opportunity to build a retail business from the brand. The first franchise opened in 2003, and has grown to become the successful Glasgow business you see today.

Ewan Brown, the Store Manager, joined Bob's dealership in 2005. Ewan holds a Business degree and is a PRINCE2 practitioner with the expertise to project manage large custom installations.

Flora Stewart has an established retail background, working for other luxury companies before joining Bang & Olufsen. Flora helped to set-up and launch the flagship Merchant City showroom with Ewan and Bob in 2005 and has been working with the brand ever since.

David Pickles recently re-joined the Merchant City team after two years with another company. He brings back a wealth of experience with Bang & Olufsen systems, gained during his time with our sister store in Bearsden before we relocated to the city centre.
