In the beginning
Bang & Olufsen of Coulsdon started trading in 1937 as Ronald James of Coulsdon. Founded by Frank Aspinwall, Ronald James of Coulsdon started selling the first television sets produced, in 1938.
The sixties
Geoff Aspinwall took over the business from his father Frank in the early sixties, and realising the excellent craftsmanship and outstanding quality of Bang & Olufsen products, began selling Bang & Olufsen in 1962 with the introduction of the BeoLit Teena Radio.
In April 1964, Ronald James became a registered Bang & Olufsen dealer, making us the oldest Bang & Olufsen dealer in the South-East of the UK.
The Present
October 2005 saw the next stage in our exciting development as we re-launched the store as Bang & Olufsen of Coulsdon.
Our showroom is run by dealer principal Ron Aspinwall and managed by store manager Martin Vinall. Wardi Sanusi handles the marketing and events activities for the showroom.
